Silverlight 4 beta was announced by Scott Guthrie a few minutes ago during his keynote at PDC 2009.

So only 4 months after Silverlight 3 released, we have a new version to play with!!

Silverlight 4 brings several interesting features:

• Implicit Styles
• Controls: RichTextBox, ViewBox and WebBrowser
• DataBinding improved
• CLR 4.0 (compatibility with dll from the Full .NET 4.0)

The Montreal .NET Community is hosting a Silverlight special event on October 24, 2009. “Build business app with Silverlight”.

The RunAtServer Team will have the pleasure to participate in this full day of Silverlight workshop, presenting on Silverlight 3, .NET RIA Services and Blend.

On Monday July, 13 we will give a training on Silverlight 3 in Montreal (Qc) probably the very first Silverlight 3 training in the World!! That should be a lot of fun!!!

We have been following the development of Silverlight 3 new features since MIX09 back in march, and now we are more than excited to be able to teach on Silverlight as a final product!

The Silverlight Tour is coming to Vancouver, Canada in July and has been updated with Silverlight 3 content!!

Laurent Duveau is now a Silverlight MVP. Laurent has been training Silverlight for 2 years now, and did many presentations of this technology. Being an MVP in this competency is a great opportunity to get closer to the Silverlight Team at Microsoft and keep being highly involved in the field.
